Faith Facts – Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

There are two fundamental elements to Biblical faith:

1). God is real. He exists.
2). God is trustworthy. He keeps His promises and does what He says.

Faith assumes existence and trustworthiness of the idea to which or the being to whom it is applied. It is absolutely NOT the belief in things or beings that we know do not exist. This is a convoluted, intentional mis-definition of faith. It is a method used by those who are willingly denying the supernatural and the implications of a supernatural Creator. The Christian fundamentally asserts that there is a real, existing God who can be trusted to do what He says and to act in accordance with His nature. One can say they do not believe based on the evidence. One cannot fairly say that there is not enough evidence to believe. He is real and can be trusted.
