There is a way which seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.
A person simply cannot always trust their intuition and feelings. It may seem we are moving in the right direction; yet, the end could very well be death. Unless our decisions in life are informed by the Holy Spirit and the Written Word, we will end up lifeless. Our feelings left to themselves will often misdirect us and lead us away from life not toward it.
Protect us from the ideas that seem right to us, Lord. Lead us by the power of Your Spirit and the Truth of Your Holy Word.
