The Faithful Word – Isaiah 55:11

“…so My word that comes from My mouth
will not return to Me empty,
but it will accomplish what I please
and will prosper in what I send it to do.”

This is truly the power of the Word of God. The truth of this verse explains why the Psalmist in 119 sought God’s Word so desperately. God’s Word is not only true – it is eternally faithful. It always accomplishes what God intends and God’s intentions are the definition of what is good. His Word always proves true and accomplishes that for which it was spoken.

“Open my eyes Lord that I may behold wondrous things from Your law.”
