He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.
At the heart of why we work to earn money is the calling to use what we have earned for the good of others. Our motivation for working must not be solely the provision for our own needs but more so the opportunity to be able to provide for others who are in true need. Working, as are all earthly endeavors, is about glorifying God which often expresses itself through our care for others. Sharing is at the heart of who we have been created to be.
