Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah.
In the middle of a powerful miracle story, Peter speaks of and testifies to the greater miracle: the miracle of forgiven sins and a changed life. Physical healing has been received but his one but a greater miracle awaits all those who will believe. All miracles are amazing it is true, but what can compare with the miracle of a changed life? What is more more amazing than seeing the sins of a broken person washed away? Seriously, seeing a hopeless human filled with life changing hope is incomparably good. Seeing a spiritually dead person raised from death to truly walk and live in life-giving obedience is amazing. Watching the effects of forgiveness on a guilt stricken, shame laden soul is awesome, for it is truly the miraculous work of God. It is the clear result of the potent power of the Name of Jesus Christ. He alone has the power to save. Faith in His Name alone brings men and women out of the darkness of death and into the brilliant, luminescent light of Life. This is the greater miracle!
