“Why do you call Me good?” Jesus asked him. “No one is good but One — God.”
Jesus was never moved by empty flattery. He is steadfast in His work. He is focused on glorifying God His Father not Himself. This same vigilant spirit must accompany those who are seeking to be filled with Christ and walk His walk. We must be quick to honestly reflect all glory to God and do it consistently and humbly. It is the humble who will be raised up and the proud who will be put down. We must faithfully represent Father God with our actions and our words and deflect all glory to Him. He is pure goodness. Any good thing that flows through us is by His doing alone.
Thanks be to God!
