As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent.
Love disciplines. Love is not soft and weak. It does not require little of the loved it graciously requires much. Love sees evil and rebukes it. It is not afraid. God is love and as such He disciplines those He loves. It is to our benefit; yet, not always to our liking. He benefits us in spite of our likes because He loves us. If only we could truly comprehend the length, width, height and depth of the love of God our lives would be renovated in such a manner as to change our thinking, our speaking and our living. The old man would truly be gone. The new man would arrive. Be merciful to me loving Father. I’m still learning of Your love for me. I’m still learning how to love as You love.
