“…for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (NKJV)
It is hard to imagine the supernatural tenderness with which Father God will wipe away our tears. Even here and now in this broken place, experiencing the mysterious nearness of God is overwhelming and often accompanied by tears. I can only imagine that in His presence the tears will freely flow as we stand in the presence of His glory, grace and mercy and understand in a new, deeper way from what we have been delivered and for what we have been redeemed. The realness of Christ’s atonement will be more than our renewed hearts can bear in that day. Tears will freely flow.
The hand of God alone can wipe away such tears. He promises that He will.
