If I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his estate, his possessions are secure. But when one stronger than he attacks and overpowers him, he takes from him all his weapons he trusted in, and divides up his plunder.
Jesus Christ is this One with the strength and power to overpower the strong man satan. Jesus is the Power of God over the enemy. He has defeated satan and now rules over Heaven and earth as His kingdom advances by the will and power of God. He drives out demons by the power of God because He and the Father are One. He is stronger than the ruler of this earth. By the graciousness of Father God we have received within us the Holy Spirit Who also makes available to us the power of Jesus. Certainly, as frail sinful people we never experience this power to the degree that Lord Jesus did, yet, still the promise of the Holy Scriptures is true – Greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world. This is such good news for aliens such as ourselves residing in an alien land. When evil increases around us the good of God within us must abound!
