Words Matter – Luke 19:22

‘I will judge you by what you have said, you evil slave!…’

From the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks and reveals our true perspective and who we really are. We will be judged by every careless word because what we say flows from within. Our words are our fruit. They indicate our allegiance, our perspective, our forgiveness, our mindset. To minimize what we say is to use words to disprove the value of words. It is the ultimate self defeating ‘truth’. Words enflesh thoughts and ideas. They are at the heart of what we know about a person. They reflect the reality of who a person is – the essence of their being. How can we dare minimize such? Won’t it lead us to a place where we can never truly know anyone? Without a shared communication real personal relationships are lost.
