But detecting their craftiness, He said to them, “Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?”
“Caesar’s,” they said.
“Well then,” He told them, “give back to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.”
And whose image was on the Pharisees themselves and is on all people? All are created in the image of God and thus His image, the image of the Holy Trinity, is on us. Considering this truth, we render ourselves to Him. The image of God is on us. Our call is to give all that we are to Him.
