The sincere faith and love that always characterizes followers of Christ is unique in that it is motivated by and grounded in the hope we have in Heaven; i.e. dwelling in the unhindered presence of God, in the future. This is faith and love that is looking to something greater. It grows out of gratefulness and has a goal. It takes our eyes off of ourselves and puts them on eternity, freeing us to focus on others, knowing that we are eternally secure.
