For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.
It is the knowledge of God’s will and wisdom and spiritual understanding that gives us what we need to walk worthy of the Lord and be fully pleasing to Him. This knowledge, wisdom and spiritual understanding bears fruit through good works and grows us in our fundamental knowledge of Him. Our mind and heart are critical in our walk with Lord Jesus. This is the obedience we must have. If we love Him, we will keep His commandments.
Paul never stops praying that these children of God will know His purpose with wisdom and spiritual understanding. We should be praying the same for those we are influencing and also for ourselves.
