Jesus knows His creation inside and out. He is not flattered by our whitewashed outward appearances nor wooed by our flashy words. He knows us intimately. It is Christ who reveals the darkness of our hearts and calls us out. The outward appearance means nothing to Him and He will not be deceived by our antics. He knows what is in a man. We can fool many with our words and actions. We can even fool ourselves at some level. We cannot fool Lord Jesus. All things were created through Him and for Him. Just as the earthly designer knows his design through and through; its strengths and weaknesses; its advantages and flaws; the outward appearance and the inward construction, so the Heavenly Designer knows His creation from the inside out. He knows what we think. He sees what we do. He hears what we say. He knows what we want and what we need even before we think or express it. His knowledge of us is complete unlike any other completeness we have encountered in this broken place. His knowledge of us is simply remarkable, especially in light of the miracle of His love for us.

He will not entrust Himself to man; yet, He has entrusted Himself to the will of His Father and by so doing has redeemed those He truly knows and loves. He has fully entrusted Himself to His loving Father and in that trusting relationship has brought hope to untrustworthy beings such as ourselves. Thanks be to God through His Son Jesus Christ!
