Security in Christ – John 10:28

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish — ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.

The security we have in Christ is profound. He makes it clear that no other one can remove us from His protection and care. It could even be argued that we cannot remove ourselves; however, other sections of Scripture indicate that a believer can turn his back and reject his faith thus leaving himself in an even worse state than before he walked with Christ. Jesus will never force us to continue to choose Him; however, as long as we stay ‘in His hand’, our security is solid. No one can remove us from His hand. Romans 8 reiterates this amazing promise.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

No other One offers such security – only Christ. No other One has the authority to offer such security or make such a promise. No one. It is in Christ alone that such can be offered. This single fact should usher in a lifelong response of gratitude. We are secure in Christ.
