Do what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
It is through our spiritual relationships in Christ that we get a clear picture of who we are to be and what we are to do. We must be watching those who are spiritually mature among us and imitating their walk. We are learning and receiving by hearing and seeing what the true pastors among us are doing. Imitation is critical to the Christian faith. Thus, we must make time to be around those who we look up to and also those who might look up to us. Age level isolation in the body of Christ is not a good practice – spiritual age, that is.
In order to grow, we must be watching and listening. In order to influence, we must be living as Christ has called us to live so that others among us might see and hear and also be changed.
