Delivered from Fear – Jeremiah 1:8

“Do not be afraid of their faces,
For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. Jer 1:8

How often in the midst of speaking or living God’s truth has a look from another person sent fear through our bones? Much evil can be communicated through a look on a face. It doesn’t always take words to communicate disdain. If only we could get a firm mental grasp on the overarching deliverance of God which trumps all fear.

There is a fear that supersedes every other known and unknown fear. It is the fear of the One who delivers us from every other fear. If only we could internalize and walk in this courage based on the all encompassing power and protection of God. A power and protection that transcends this existence and covers us even into the next life. There is no earthly fear that can hold a candle to the fear of God. There is no earthly encounter that can even begin to impact the eternal strength of knowing the One who can snuff out any earthly threat with a sniff. Allowing any other fear to choke out our fear of Father God is simply stupid when one walks in relationship with Him.

Forgive us of our shortsighted stupidity, Father. Your deliverance is our courage.
