For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.
Send Your light and Your truth; let them lead me.
Let them bring me to Your holy mountain,
to Your dwelling place.
The Jewish mind sought light.
The Greek mind sought knowledge.
The Roman mind sought glory.
Paul shows how all three of these great and noble ideas are fully met in the Face of The Lord Jesus Christ.
God has shone this into our hearts. He has projected the glory of Himself into the very region of our being that transforms us. Daily we are being transformed from one degree of glory to another ultimately in the direction of the ultimate Glory of Jesus Christ Himself, Who, when revealed, will also reveal us with Him in glory. There is no adequate adjective to express the goodness of such a truth. It is beyond words.
