Yet not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your lives.
Jesus words here speak of the eternal nature of God’s promises. We will all face death; yet, for those who endure in faith, it is only a passage. The ‘lives’ Jesus speaks of here will be ended because of their allegiance to Him; yet, even in their death not a single hair will be lost. It’s amazing to think about. Jesus is guaranteeing life beyond physical death even to include our hair. He knows the number of the hairs on our head because He knows us intimately. This is His promise – to bring us to Him after death into eternal life in His presence. We will be ourselves in His presence throughout eternity if we hold on in faith.
His love and power are unmatched. No other one can make and keep such a promise.
