But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also….
Are they serious? Just how much do they assume to accomplish by killing one who has already experienced death and been raised from it. I can only imagine Lazarus dying with laughter whenever he heard of the threat.

For those who have been given the power over death through the intervention of the Christ, death holds no sway or fear. We know the One who has conquered the grave. Lazarus knew Him and resurrection in a very personal way. Death was simply dinner conversation for Lazarus now. In light of the promise of our own resurrection by the power of Christ, it should be the same for us.
