Moral Consciousness – Hebrews 9:13-14

For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

Jesus by His life, death, burial and resurrection is able to cleanse us thoroughly – once and for all – from the inside out. He cleanses our conscience, our moral consciousness, and continues to work on our behalf via His Indwelling Spirit who ever seeks to glorify Jesus in our life. The cleansing of our conscience is unlike any other experience. No other one and no other thing can cleanse us from the inside out. He alone expressed the power of a perfect life sacrificed in complete submission to the Will of God on our behalf. It is this that purifies our moral consciousness. It is Christ alone who truly changes the essence of who we are. The old has gone. The new has come.
