For the Messiah did not enter a sanctuary made with hands (only a model of the true one) but into heaven itself, so that He might now appear in the presence of God for us.
Isn’t this the heart of the New Covenant? The Perfect High Priest stands eternally in the presence of Father God on our behalf. He has done it. He has prevailed. He is victorious. He is resurrected. What we could not do He has done. It is finished. We now stand by faith as the beneficiaries of His work as it relates to this New Covenant. We have God Himself, the Holy Spirit, within us ‘cleansing our consciences before God’. It is so much more than just our weak efforts to purify our flesh. It is God Himself fulfilling the necessary aspects of Justice and Love totally on our behalf. Who else could have? Who among us is deceived enough to think that they could live in such a way as to perfectly fulfill the Law? Seriously? Is there one among us who would ever sincerely claim such ability? Only Jesus Christ can enter this Most Holy Place of the sanctuary and stand in the Presence of Father God having completely fulfilled the perfect law of love and justice.
He is our Life. He is our Love. He is our Liberty.
He is our Lord!
