The Taste Of Goodness – 1 Peter 2:1-3

So rid yourselves of all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander. Like newborn infants, desire the pure spiritual milk, so that you may grow by it for your salvation, since you have tasted that the Lord is good.

To know the salvation of Christ is to taste the pure goodness of God. What is sweeter or purer than salvation by grace through the work of Christ Jesus?

To know and walk in purity at the expense of another.

To live in freedom because of Christ’s sacrifice.

To truly taste goodness by virtue of the sweetness of the offering of our Lord.

This is “to taste and see that the Lord is good.” Good at a level that is difficult to comprehend; yet, almost too easy to receive. By His stripes we are healed. It is nothing short of amazing. (Psalm 34:8)
