Variegated Grace – 1 Peter 4:10-11

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Strong’s Dictionary

AV (10) – divers 8, manifold 2;
a various colours, variegated of various sorts

God’s grace is not singular and mono. It is varied – variegated, if you will. It applies in so many different ways and areas and has as many individual manifestations as there are people who have received it. It is the expression of His love and, in like manner, the expression of our love for Him as we relate with others. This gift we have been given from Heaven undergirds and motivates all that we do. It branches out into all the world through every person who brings it to life in their speech and service. It is this grace within us that is pouring out in all that we say and do as we are strengthened by God Himself to bring glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. We are ministers of His grace by His power for His glory. What a deep responsibility. What an overwhelming blessing. All glory to the God of Heaven and earth!
