Salvation is by grace through faith. Jesus makes that perfectly clear in this statement. He has the authority, power and willingness to grant us eternal life. Anyone who hears and believes has truly passed from death to life. It is so straightforward that we have to stretch to make it complicated, confusing and difficult. I just don’t think we can fully process just how ‘easy’ it is; yet, how much it demands. To die to Jesus in faith is to gain our lives into eternity.
