Believing and Receiving – John 13:20

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

To receive a believer in Christ, one whom Jesus has sent, is to receive Christ Himself. To receive Christ Himself is to receive God the Father. Thus, as we receive our brother in Christ, the one who is submitting himself to Jesus each and every day, we receive the eternal God our Father through our relationship with Christ.
