Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
‘In my Name’ – according to the character, nature, being and essence of Who Christ is. It is the Name of Christ that is the measurement of what we ask. We are seeking what Lord Jesus is seeking. We have a longing in step with the longing of Jesus. ‘We take delight in the Lord and He gives us the desires of our heart’ as we begin to desire what He desires.
The name of Jesus is unlike any other Name. It defines who we are, what we do and even what we seek and request. In Him we find the answer to all of our prayers. Every promise of God is yes in Christ Jesus our Lord. (2 Corinthians 1:20).
