Everyone whose heart was moved and whose spirit prompted him came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its services, and for the holy garments.
Our motivation, as specified by God earlier in this chapter, must come from the inside out. There is goodness in a stirred heart and a moved spirit. It matters to The Lord. Thus, it is disconcerting whenever our heart seems dull and cold. We seek the Father’s warming touch to move our Spirit so that we might serve Him with the fervor that only He can generate in our hearts. He has poured His love into our hearts through His Holy Spirit and given us the self dignity of choosing to serve Him. He puts into us whatever He calls out of us. As He has redeemed us from the inside out so also we serve Him in that manner. Thanks be to God.
