Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and asked Him, “We aren’t blind too, are we?”
“If you were blind,” Jesus told them, “you wouldn’t have sin. But now that you say, ‘We see’ — your sin remains.Since they refuse to admit their willful blindness regarding Who Jesus really is, they remain in their guilt. To move from guilt to innocence via forgiveness requires at the very least the willingness to confess that we are wrong. Confession is good for the soul because it indicates a level of humility that is a prerequisite for receiving the forgiveness of Christ.
Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord Jesus and He will lift you up – eternally!
