Didn’t the Messiah have to suffer these things and enter into His glory?”
Once again we see Lord Jesus opening up these disciples to their assumptions with a question. He first listens in order to allow them to express their dilemma and their faulty assumptions. He then fully addresses them and answers questions they didn’t even know they had. Jesus draws out their fears, doubts and misunderstandings and then fully answers them with Himself.
He is the Answer to their questions.
He is the Certainty for their uncertainty.
He is the Hope for their lives.
They will never be the same having encountered Lord Jesus.
Nor will we.
